Hey Folks!

I know that it has been awhile since Joe has posted anything on here, but I thought that if any of you chicks reading this (sorry guys), that you would like to know that Beth Moore has some really cool messages to listen to off her Living Proof ministries website.  Check them out.  Specifically Hannah, Beth has a message of "Face Down" that would be really cool for you to listen to.  Go to http://www.oneplace.com/ministries/living_proof_with_beth_moore/

There is some cool stuff on here.  Love you my friends...Denice

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to say, HEY!   I haven't been on here in quite a while.  So, how are things?   I've had some weird stuff going on lately and have been more than a little concerned.  Then I came across Ezra 5:5 while teaching the college Sunday School class.  Check it out.  Now, to put it in context, the Israelites had been out of Isreal in exile for about 70 years.  The city & temple were in ruins back in Jerusalem.  So, when the time comes to bring the people back, God lays on the heart of the king (Ezra 1:1-4).  He tells anyone interested that they can go back.  Some do and they begin rebuilding the temple.  That's good, build God's house first.  However, just into the project they face some serious opposition and then have to stop.  But, when a few get the courage to go back to work despite the opposition, they are confronted by the enemy, Ez. 5:1-5.  "The eye of their God was watching over."  Sometimes we're in bad stuff, wondering where is God, why isn't He bailing me out of this mess?  Well, be assured, He is watching over his children.  He knows what's going on and He knows when to get involved.  He will when the time is right.  Our comfort is in the fact that Daddy is watching.

In Christ,

joe

WOW!   It's been a long time since I did updated.  SO LONG, I didn't  know about all these cool controls that are here now.    SWEET!   Not that I'm going to use them or anything, I just think they are cool.  Anyway, you guys keep praying for my sis.  She is back in ICU.  There's been bleeding in her chest cavity and it has built up around her lungs making it hard for her to breathe.  All is good in life. God is teaching me some new stuff.  Ain't God Good!!!  Gotta run.  Don't forget the Spur58 concert tomorrow night.  Be at the church at 4:30ish.

In Christ,

joe

I have been encouraged to update, so I have.  It's really hot right now.  God is doing awesome things in my life.  He has called me to surrender to Him in the area of sharing my faith with those I come into contact with.  I was able to leave a tract with the waitress where I had lunch today, but unable to talk with her very much. She was very busy and spoke very little english (it was a Chineese rest.).  Pray for me and hold me accountable.

Love you all,

joe

Hey Everyone,

WOW!!! It has been a long time since I did this.  Anyway, we are back from youth camp and it was an icredible experience.  God definately moved in our lives, including the old and balding youth minister.  God really convicted me about my lack on time in His word.  I have been having quiet times, but not really the way I am supposed to.  You see, when I was in college (that's been a while ago), my quiet time consisted of three very distinct parts.  First, I had a prayer time, then I worked on my scripture memory, and then I did some Bible study.  For the study, I would work through a book of the Bible or a subject (like obedience) one or two verses at a time.  I was slow, but I learned so much more about Him that way.  That QT takes from an hour to an hour and a half.  I have struggled with that habbit for years, telling myself that I didn't have time now that I'm a dad and husband and employed, all those things I wasn't while in college have 90 minute Quiet Times.  Well, that's not good enough.  God is and should be more important than my ministry and even my wife and daughter.  I have committed to get back on track and get up at 6:00 AM to have my QT everyday before doing anything else.  God has already blessed this.  I was wondering what to memorize, but He's taken care of that one also.  One of our students has felt convicted to memorize the book of Matthew.  I'm joining her.  I worked on Matt. 1:18-25 this morning.  I'll get that by the end of the week, and then move on to chapter 2 next week.  Thank you God for moving in our hearts and lives this past week.

In Christ,

joe
